The expert discussion entitled ‘Three Steps to Accessing the Pharmaceutical Market: Pricing, Registration, Quality Control’ will take place within the business programme of the Drug Security Forum. The Forum will take place on 2 June during the opening day of St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. The organizers of Drug Security Forum are the Roscongress Foundation and Content Foundation for Development of Expert and Analytical Activities. The Forum is supported by the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation and the Subcommittee on Circulation of Medicines and the Development of Pharmaceutical and Medical Industry of the State Duma Committee on Health Protection of the Russian Federation.
"In order to ensure the drug safety of the country, the Government of the Russian Federation and the State Duma are constantly working on the development of the pharmaceutical industry. We remain in continuous dialogue with the manufacturers of medicines, which allows us to promptly solve arising problems. A striking example of this cooperation is our coordinated work during the pandemic, when we were able to ensure uninterrupted operation of the industry. Representatives of authorities, business, patient community, and international organizations take part in expert discussions within the Drug Security Forum. Such a discussion platform has a high practical significance and brings together all parties interested in the development of the healthcare industry," said Alexander Petrov, Chairman of the Subcommittee on Circulation of Medicines, Development of Pharmaceutical and Medical Industry of the State Duma Committee on Health Protection of the Russian Federation.
The participants of the discussion will discuss the following issues: Which initiatives can solve the problem of defective low-margin essential drugs? Whether the current system of price regulation contributes to the innovation in personalized medicine in Russia? Which solutions can further accelerate registration procedures and the introduction of new drugs into circulation, provided a guarantee of safe use? How to harmonize regulatory practices on the unified pharmaceutical market of the EAEC?
